Performing Inspection/ Servicing of various safety systems and equipments at Drilling Rigs/ Barges/Vessels. Issuing the certifications for the systems.
Expertise with the all kinds of troubles shootings and preventive maintenance of Breathing air compressors, Bauer make (Models; O13, Mariner 320, Mariner 250, Verticus 5, Junior 2 etc.) at onshore and offshore rigs.
Performing the 1000Hrs & 2000Hrs maintenance for the Breathing Air compressors.
Performing Calibration and testing of fixed gas detection (make; Zelweger, Detcon, RC, Honeywell) & wireless gas detection systems (Toxic and combustible gases). Also attending the troubles of the system.
Calibration and testing of Single/ multi, portable gas detectors.
Installation, monthly inspection and servicing of breathing air cascade systems. Monitoring and maintaining the Breathing air cascade system and ensuring the system has no major leaks and all the quick couplers are ready to use in case of emergency.
Servicing and maintenance of various types of breathing apparatus (EEBD &SCBA). Ensuring all sets are operational.
Conducting the H2S drills at rigs and leading the rescue team.
Performing commissioning, Annual inspection and certification of Water Sprinkler System & Water Mist System.
Conducting the training on Breathing Air cascade system, Breathing apparatus, Air Quality test and Safe rescue plan to the rig officials /rig crews.
Lead the rescue team during gas exposure also testing the concentration of H2S and LEL gases released.
Assist the testing and servicing of fire detection system.
Leading the team during commissioning and periodic maintenance of various firefighting / fire suppression systems like Heli-deck foam, Mud pit Foam, Wet chemical etc. also preparing the certifications.
Coordinating and leading the team for the inspection and certification of CO2 fire suppression systems.
Conducting the pressure testing for fire hoses.
Also attending the servicing of types of fire extinguishers.
Performing the hydro testing of cylinders.
Performing the Air Quality Test of cascade air banks, and for breathing air compressors.
Monitor, observe ongoing rig safety operations and coordinate with the Rig Manager and safety representative.
Preparing the job reports and certifications for all the above activities. Discussing the findings and remedies with rig authorities.
Participation in and coordination of regularly scheduled HSE meetings held at rigs and camps.
Sometimes assisting the safety officer during rig HSE audits and inspections. |
